Zurich, 30 September 2018 – Last Saturday, lake Zurich clearly invited for sailing. 10 teams signed up for the blu26 Cup Zurich, among them a guest crew from Middelfart, Denmark! There is no way too far to participate in a blu26 Cup.
The weather gods and the Maloja wind made this weekend to one of the season’s highlights for 14 crews. The legendary Maloja catered for perfect sailing conditions at 1800 meters over sea-level and for 25 dynamic runs with stable winds of 4 to 5, and up to 6 Beaufort in gusts.
The blu26 class continues to ride the sailing season’s crest and visited Middelfart as a new destination for a potential European Open 2019. A fleet of ten well maintained blu26 boats is on site, managed by GoSail.
Last weekend, the charming town Romanshorn at Lake Constance welcomed the blu26 class generously: pure summer sun, great hospitality by the Yacht Club Romanshorn, and a surprisingly nice breeze.
This year’s blu26 Swiss Championship took place 20-22 April on Lake Zug with beautiful weather conditions.
In honor of the blu26 10th anniversary year, the annual Lake Garda Regatta Training from 6 to 8 April reports record participation!
